The Asian Charity Services (ACS) Team comprises of fulltime staff and volunteers with a broad base of professional experience including nonprofit management, business consultancy, banking, legal practices, financial management, fundraising, human resource and organization development, and corporate leadership.

They are professional individuals who love and care about people, communities, countries and future generations.

We believe that nonprofits deserve the best talents and resources to enable them to achieve their broader goals and missions so as to build and strengthen the society in which we live.

John Louie, Executive Director
John has over 30 years of experience with multinational companies in the engineering and construction fields. After starting his career in Europe, he held senior positions in sales, marketing and communications, as well as field operations management with postings in greater China, Singapore and Malaysia. He volunteered as a consultant with Asian Charity Services during the two years prior to becoming a full time staff member.

John grew up in Hong Kong and attended Diocesan Boys’ School before earning a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. He also holds an MBA from the University of Toronto.

John and his wife Adeline have three grown children. Their daughter is married and lives in Germany, while their twin sons currently live in Hong Kong.



May Wong, Director of Special Projects and Volunteers Development
May has over 10 years experience in the consumer products and retail industries before her transition to the nonprofit sector.

Most recently, as a director of a Hong Kong retail company, May spearheaded efforts to re-engineer the company's business model, implemented a new organization structure and a turnaround plan that enabled overall growth and profitability. She also worked in marketing with Kimberly-Clark Inc. in Canada, responsible for developing product strategies for several major consumer product brands. May was also instrumental in launching a social enterprise, focusing on strengthening marketing and distribution for the organization; and now remains active in the sector, offering advisory and mentoring support to local social entrepreneurs. May holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and an MSc in Nutrition from Syracuse University.




Peter Li, Finance Director
Peter is a seasoned banking professional with more than 25 years of experience working with several leading international financial institutions. He started his career with JP Morgan, advising clients on foreign exchange exposure and managing the funding requirement of the bank. Peter then joined AMRO Bank (now RBS N.V.) to head the Foreign Exchange & Treasury Department in Hong Kong for several years before joining Bank Austria AG (now part of UniCredit Group), responsible for managing the bank's investment portfolio in Asian debt securities. Subsequently, he moved to Raiffeisen Zentralbank Oesterreich AG, Singapore Branch and became a Director of Structured and Project Finance, advising and arranging financing facilities for clients in the Asia region. Peter has an MBA and BBA degree in Finance, both from the University of Toledo.



Linda Yau, Program Manager
Previously a coporate professional for IBM, Walt Disney, Warner Bros. and PCCW, Linda Yau is a creative and versatile strategist with marketing and business development expertise garnered from years of service in a variety of industries. Linda's career history with the multinationals that spanned from technology sales to entertainment regional licensing roles has established her as a well-regarded channel development, project management, sales and marketing professional. Beyond the Fortune 500 companies where Linda excelled in her area, she took up the role of search director at an executive search firm. Since 2010, Linda has been working for the City University of Hong Kong as a career adviser and devoting half her time to charities including Asian Charity Services in Hong Kong. Her participation includes volunteering in training workshops, business development and special projects. Linda holds an Executive MBA degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

Volunteer Consultants
We have an extensive network of volunteer consultants, currently more than 500 people and growing, all of whom are seasoned business professionals. They include commercial and investment bankers, management consultants, accountants, lawyers, HR managers and coaches, branding/communication/media executives and IT professionals, who embrace the opportunity to serve nonprofits in a high-impact and personal way.

Our volunteer consultants have an average of 10 + years of work experience, and are often senior management staff of local and international companies. Many of these consultants are recruited from our corporate supporters, particularly leading international investment banks and multinational corporations.
